Odhran was born on October 18th with a rare disease called Hirschsprungs which meant a lot of time in and out of hospital, particularly Barbour Ward in the Royal Victoria Hospital for Sick Children. He had an operation in February and is now doing great. All the staff, nurses, doctors and everyone else were wonderful and looked after us, and all the other kids. I would like to do this for them, as our family are so grateful for all the help and support they have given us and all the children and parents on their ward. Every small donation helps….especially at the moment as we know they have been working extra hard on the frontline.
I am planning on running 7 half marathons in 7 days, starting on July 11th and will post my updates here. I know times are tough for everyone but if you can, please donate even a few pounds as everything will go directly to the hospital and Barbour Ward.
Barbour Ward has several areas such as a parent’s room and a playroom which we know from experience are essential in making lives easier for families while in the ward. We are sure every penny raised would be appreciated and used in the right areas to continue to provide for families.
