Many thanks to Shirley McCalmont from the Wellington Rec Football Club who
organised an afternoon tea event in Larne Community Hall in memory of her son’s team
mate Sammy Haveron. Unfortunately this fell foul of current Covid restrictions but this did not
deter Shirley.
She utilised her newly learnt baking skills and took it upon herself to deliver cakes and tea
to 50 family and friends around Larne and the donations she received raised £527.25.
What a fantastic effort. Well done Shirley and thank you for your continued support!
